Are contestants expected to propose “end-to-end” solutions to these problem, or would something that solves a part of the problem be an acceptable submission? E.g., suppose a contestant created a system that did an autonomous visual search around a cell-phone ping. It does not solve the problem of getting the ping in the first place, but helps once you have it. Would that be a valid submission?
