Are there any specific aspects of cybersecurity we should address in Stage 1?

The cybersecurity requirement in UAS 6.0 focuses on a general understanding of the threats, implications, and mitigations of using Artificial Intelligence in UAS. This information can include connected systems, databases, user scenarios, etc. Remember that this deliverable is only required in the Stage 1 white paper, so proposals or solutions can be theoretical but must have plausible supporting evidence. This can be derived from original research, reputable sources, or similar/equivalent disciplines that aren’t necessarily UAS (e.g., self-driving cars) but must apply to first responder UAS. You may consider specific mitigation methodologies derived from cybersecurity privacy and security guidelines commonly utilized in enterprise and defense networks (e.g., DISA STIGs, NIST Cybersecurity and Privacy Reference Tool https://csrc.nist.gov/Projects/cprt, CISA, MITRE). The cybersecurity requirement does not have to be implemented in the solution in Stages 2 and 3.
