Is there a desired UAV size? Or max size? Footprint wise, not weight. What is the reason you are only interested in 55 lbs? I know you avoid registration with the FAA but mobility can be achieved while affording better capability.

No there is not, there are no restrictions on size. As long as it is FAA 107 compliant. Also, keep in mind ease of use for the end user, that being first responders. For this challenge, we are interested in small UAS, something a first responder may already have in their vehicle. Our stakeholders are first responders, so we are looking to innovate with the end user in mind; that is our goal from a research perspective. Additionally, working with the sub-55 lbs was also to alleviate some of the cost for competitors.
